I’m in love with a salad – somebody write it down! Oh wait, I guess I’m doing that.
Aaanyways, last night I went to Sprouts to get their 2 for $5 salads. I saw one that was Apple and Walnut with chicken, so I thought, “sure, what the heck.”
I pulled it out today at work and let me tell you – harps. I wanted to keep eating and eating, and that has never once happened to me while eating a salad. The best 280 calories I’ve had in a long, long time.
The apples and walnuts were great, the chicken was fine (I’m really not huge on chicken, but oh well), but what really did it for me was the dried cranberries, gorgonzola, and most of all the Sweet Onion Vinaigrette.
How had I never heard of this dressing before? It’s tart, it’s sweet, it kinda tastes like bacon for some reason. In a word: YUM.
So there it is. I actually enjoyed eating a salad today. Never thought it would happen to me, but it did. Woot!
